Byron Cuevas was born in Guatemala but spent most of his life in New Jersey, where he was immersed in a diverse and vibrant culture that helped shape his artistic journey. From a young age, he was captivated by the world of anime, drawn to its expressive characters, intricate details, and dynamic storytelling. His passion for art ignited early, and by the time he was in second grade, he was determined to master the craft of drawing. What began as a fascination with anime soon expanded into an appreciation for darker, more eerie artistic styles, allowing him to explore a broader range of creative expression.
A few years after graduating high school, a close friend introduced Byron to the world of tattooing. This new medium quickly became a pivotal part of his artistic evolution, offering him a fresh way to bring his unique vision to life. Through tattooing, he was able to merge his love for intricate designs with a deeper exploration of shadow, depth, and storytelling on skin.
Today, Byron continues to refine and push the boundaries of his artistry, seamlessly blending his early inspirations with his evolving creative style. Whether working on paper, canvas, or skin, he remains dedicated to honing his craft and expanding his artistic horizons.
